Program Director - Rosedale MD (BCR119)

TITLE: Program Director FLSA Status: Exempt
Responsible for the overall operations and management of the Programs that are assigned to them. Maintains compliance with government regulatory bodies and other related accreditation organizations.
1. Provide an organizational structure that is satisfying and helpful to the clients who are served.
2. Ensure program compliance with all regulatory and accrediting bodies.
3. Provide, implement, and maintain a system for continuous quality improvement.
4. Ensure that the programs mission and its services are carried out effectively and efficiently.
5. Supervise, train, hire, discipline, and manage program coordinators and their roles to provide specific services.
6. Keep Programs within budgeted expenditures and develop programming and structure that ensures that budgeted revenues are obtained.
7. Attend and participate in CORE service Agency meetings, MAPSS activities, and other community and service organizations to keep informed and provide feedback.
8. Provides leadership in supervising, and monitoring the behavior of clients. Assures expectations and house rules are clearly defined and adhered to.
9. Maintains professional education and competence through participation in ongoing meetings, workshops, and seminars.
10. Keeps abreast of current trends and developments in the field.
1. Knowledge and skills in organizational management and supervision normally acquired through a Master?s Degree in Human Services or a related degree field as well as 4+ years of direct job related experience, and the proper licensure that is required by COMAR of Maryland.
2. Skills and background necessary to supervise managers.
3. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to develop positive relationships with community organizations.
4. Ability and desire to work with and advocate for a disabled population.
5. Ability to monitor, revise, and understand the program budgetary process.
6. Skills and experience in fundamental MIS design and basic computer skills including a knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
7. Must possess a current MD State issued Driver?s License and have a current driving record with less than 3 points on it.
1. Normal activity-center environment, where there is no physical discomfort due to temperature, dust or noise. Depending on position, may have some exposure to cigarette smoke in area designated for client smoking.
2. Works in resident care environment where there is some exposure to communicable diseases.
3. Depending on specific assignment, work requires travel between programs and services.
1. Reports to the assigned Division Director.
2. Responsible for staff of assigned service program.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
